Hey babes! Today we wanted to share our experiences working with MIDORI Bikinis on their lifestyle shoots and how it all came about! Midori Bikinis is a brand really special to us, they're one of our favorites and I'm sure they're most of yours too! Today Annalisa (The Merbabe) is telling her story first since she worked with them before Melly (The Gypsea)! We're so excited to share our stories so lets get right into it! Also, We worked on a blog post together for MIDORI Bikinis that'll be on their blog too! If you want to read it just click HERE! Annalisa The Merbabe's Story!Back in 2014 I was scrolling through instagram, I found them and my eyes were opened to the world of bikinis. I had always purchased my swimwear from Target, or Tilly's and the prices of the bikinis shocked me a little. I had only been been spending like $15 per piece. I ordered my first bikini from them later that year and I fell in love. Being someone with a bigger cup size and a smaller waist I had been searching for a top that would fit me and I had finally found it. Since then I had become a huge fan. I only purchased Midori and this is when I started wanting to take photos in swimsuits. I wanted to be featured by them and I wanted to be one of their ambassadors. Many swim suit purchases later I had applied to be one of their ambassadors and although I was not accepted I was fortunate enough to be asked to shoot with them April of 2016. The shoot was at the cutest house in Encinitas and was so fun. I met their ambassadors Mariah and Cayden who I am still friends with to this day! I actually wrote a blog post about my first time working with them and you can read it here! Since then I've collaborated with them for their 2017 line took photos of their suit while i was in Hawaii this past March. I have always love their bikinis and cannot wait to collaborate with them on their 2018 collection when I got back to Hawaii this December. I absolutely adore Rachel. She and the MIDORI team are always so wonderful to work with! This company will always have a place in my heart, they made me into the bikini addict I am today. Melly The Gypsea's Story! It's actually really funny how I began working with Midori! They casted me for a Styled shoot and it was like a dream come true!
So, taking it back before they even reached out, Annalisa and I were hanging out one day and she was telling me how she worked with them and how much she loved it! I began telling her how I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to work with them due to the fact that I knew how tight-nit they are with their ambassadors. At the time I wasn't too aware of their "lifestyle" shoots other than the fact that Annalisa had worked with them. Next thing I knew, and I have NO IDEA how this happened (the universe must have heard me talking about it) but, no longer than a week or so later, I GOT AN EMAIL FROM THEM! They wanted me to participate in one of their lifestyle shoots and I was so unbelievably happy that this dream was about to come true! The day of the shoot came and it was so amazing! The shoot was at a super cute tropical Villa in Southern California! I have a more in depth blog post about the shoot on my personal blog! You can read it Here. Anyways, I have worked with MIDORI a couple times since and love it every time, we are super close to each other as I'm based in Oceanside and they're in Carlsbad (the next town over) so its really fun to just be able to help them out last second or whenever needed! I help them out with shooting content of swimwear they need photos of for the 2017 line and I've even written a blog post for them thats on their blog! You can read it Here! I'm really looking forward to what 2018 brings with MIDORI and I! Maybe you guys will see some of their suits with me while I'm on Maui! Needless to say, MIDORI Bikinis is a company that I adore working with and I always appreciate how professional and amazing they are! Their team is so amazing and I leave their office with the biggest smile on my face every time I visit! I know you guys love them as much as I do and they appreciate all of you so much too! Thanks for reading our blog post babes and done forget to check out our collaboration blog post on MIDORI's page too! https://www.midoribikinis.com/blogs/midori-blog/tips-on-becoming-an-influencer

We created our dream home... via Pinterest! The other day we were discussing how cool it'd be if we were able to live together one day, although that might not happen any time soon, we decided to create our dream home via Pinterest! It was so much fun and so inspiring of what the future could hold for The Gypsea and The Merbabe! We wanted to share with you guys what our dream bedrooms, office spaces, living rooms, and outdoor area would look like! Let just say our dream vibes aren't too far from a villa in Bali, and we love it SO much. We both have a pretty similar vibe of home decor. Minimalistic, simple, greenery, with pops of light pink and plenty of whites, grays, and other neutrals! The Gypsea's RoomMelly: I LOVE whites, greens, and pinks, and together? They're MAGIC! I need a really bright, natural lighting room! Big windows, white curtains, green plants. Ahhhhh the dream bedroom at it's finest! The Merbabe's RoomAnnalisa: I love simplicity and neutrals with cool accent pieces. I love the idea of having everything being white and then adding in bohemian and beach accents with the pillows and art on the walls. Our Office SpaceOH GIRL, you better BELIEVE that we would have some killer boss babe, tropical thriving office. An office space like this, is an office space of our dreams! If we didn't even get to live together, I'd hope that we could one day buy or rent a space to create an amazing office so we could work side by side everyday! Living RoomPlease tell me you aren't surprised.. OF COURSE, we have to carry the indoor plants and tropical printed decor throughout the entire house. We agree that it so important to put things you love and that inspire you all through out your house so you can keep that hard working fuel fired inside of you! Photo-Shoot Ready WallYou better believe that we'd have some amazing wallpaper up in the house, we want our place to be a content creation dream-come-true! We would totally paint different walls different colors too! We love colors and vibrancy! The colors you put in your life make you happy and we want to feel light, uplifted, and constantly inspired! Outdoor SpacesWe would love to be able to walk into an outdoor area that screams, "bali" or "hawaii". Having a tropical oasis right out the back door sounds like a dream! We had so much fun pulling our favorite pins and creating our dream home, it feels so good making up dreams, turning them into goals, and seeing if you can make them a reality!
Hey Babes! If you guys follow us on Instagram (which I'm sure you all do since our main viewer base is from there) I'm sure you've seen our many posts as of lately of @getback necklaces, bracelets and even their new rings! We recently have been collaborating with Get Back and love their pieces! We totally love what Get Back stands for and we loved putting our tropical touch in these photos with their pieces! Some of you may be unaware of this rad company and thats something that should surely change if you're currently reading this! So, What IS Get Back?Get Back is a sweet family owned and operated company here in California! The St. Christopher necklaces with the surfer, surfing on the back are something really special to surf culture, and now to all adventurers! Back in the day, guys would give their girlfriends these necklaces with the means of protection while the men would be away on surf trips. These necklaces, and now bracelests and soon to be rings now hold so much more meaning to all people with a thirst for adventure, travel, being outside, as well as giving a reminder of safety. In fact, (Melly, The Gypsea Here!) About 5 years ago, my boyfriend Bryce (who took all of these images) bought me my first piece of jewelry from a surf shop he was working at, at the time & guess what?! It was a St. Christopher Necklace by Get Back! He told me the story about the meaning behind the necklaces and the story alone was so nice to hear! (we were like 15!) I still have it and it's truly so special to me! Years later & now being able to work with Get Back alongside Bryce and now my best friend Annalisa too is so amazing! We really enjoyed this experience, working with such a cool company and really hope you all enjoy these photos as much as we loved creating them!Enjoy!
XX The Gypsea + The Merbabe Hello Everyone! We're sharing our first blog post with you all today by showcasing images from our shoot for Ama Bikinis! A brand we both have been loving for quite a while and we were so excited to come together for this collab for them! We shot with our girl Shayla, (@shaylapenera) a photographer we both met through our own separate shoots and now she is a great friend that we adore spending time with! Living in Southern California, Yes, its beautiful, but not so much tropical, athough I must say.. We do pretty dang good making it look like we took a day trip to Oahu. I (@_gypseaa) was driving to meet with Annalisa and Shayla when I saw the location with the elephant ear leaves as I drove by. I had realized that it would be the perfect place to shoot as I was passing, so once I meet up with the girls, that's where we headed! It was a crazy busy street, but the photo turn out made it oh so worth it! For the props I wanted fun tropical fruit that would compliment the bikinis, so I picked up a mature coconut, and a Hawaiian papaya! We cut/broke them open & WALLA! The perfect tropical props! For the other locations we just walked around the beach town, and also our weekly meet up place, Encinitas! We scouted the cutest locations, grabbed some hibiscus flowers and began shooting the same looks in new spots! This shoot was one full of laughter and we made plenty of new memories! I loved hanging out with two of my fave chicks, shooting and eating tacos afterwards to celebrate a good day! I hope you all enjoyed the first blog post and We can't wait for much more to share with you all! XX - The Gypsea Photographer Credit || @shaylapenera Shaylapenera.com Bikinis..
